Use AirPlay to stream from Apple Devices to a TV, monitor, or projector. An Apple TV device is most often used. Most newer TVs have Airplay built in.
Use Chromecast from an Android device or any computer using the Google Chrome browser to stream to a TV, monitor, or projector.
There are also third party options that can be plugged into the HDMI port of a TV, monitor, or projector to stream from any Android or Apple phone or tablet, and any computer. I have tested this device which seems to work as advertised.
Of course, you can use a cable to connect to a TV. monitor, or projector.
